ITINERARY

Day 1: Fly into Seattle, Washington
Depart locally and fly into Seattle, Washington to begin the tour! Enjoy a day in Seattle at Pike’s Market, a harbor cruise, and free time to see the Space Needle. Check into our lodging and have a relaxing night as we prepare to cross the border into Canada tomorrow!

Day 2: Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island

Start the morning with a scenic ride up the Olympic Peninsula to catch a ferry to Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada. Once landfall is made, check into our hotel and stroll around downtown Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, Canada. Finish the evening with an included group dinner.

Day 3: Victoria

We start our day by getting acquainted with Victoria; tour the city with a local guide who brings us to sights like Parliament Building, Inner Harbor and many others. We'll then make our way to  gorgeous and fragrant 55 acres that makes up Butchart Gardens. This pristine garden of flowers, trees and plants is divided into 5 themed gardens that are groomed to perfection. Started in 1904 in the backyard of Jenny Butchart with only sweet peas and a small rose bush, Butchart Gardens has slowly transformed into a Vancouver Island highlight.

Day 4: Mainland and Whistler

We make our way to the ferry terminal and embark on a short ride to Vancouver this morning. After making landfall, we travel into the mountains to Whistler Village, where we'll spend the evening. This Swiss-Style village has shopping, restaurants, and for the adventure seekers, hiking and biking! Enjoy the evening on your own and prepare for the train tomorrow.

Day 5: All Aboard!

Travel back to Vancouver today to enjoy the sights and finish boarding the world famous Via Rail Canada! To many this train ride is “the most beautiful route in the world!” We will spend the next 2 days traveling from Vancouver through the Canadian Rocky Mountains to Jasper, Canada. The relaxing ride shows another way to see the world with giant panoramic views of a rustic Canada with top class service and meals included. Stay the evening on the train tonight!

Day 6: Canadian Rocky Mountains

Our second day on the Via Rail Canada finishes our trip on the train. We experience the Canadian Rockies in full today with dynamic peaks and awesome wilderness. Enjoy the views of the jagged granite peaks and glacially fed lakes as we roll into Jasper, where we will sightsee during the afternoon and stay for the night.

Day 7: Banff and Lake Louise

Begin today traveling to the beautiful Athabasca Glacier. Touch the crystal clear ice of this thousands year old glacier. After lunch we travel through the huge Canadian Rocky Mountains to breathtaking Lake Louise, home to Chateau Lake Louise. Finish in the day Banff, Canada where we will stay for the next two nights. The entire day today is a highlight for many on the trip!

Day 8: Banff National Park

Prepare to enjoy the first national park in Canada today in Banff National Park. After stopping by the visitor’s center we’ll explore the city of Banff for the afternoon. This historic town has a great deal to offer every traveler! Finish the night with an included dinner!

Day 9: Banff to Calgary
We finish our last day in Banff and make our way into the metropolitan town of Calgary as our Canadian Rockies Train Tour winds down. Make sure you grab up any last minute souvenirs and try any food delicacies you haven’t had a chance to indulge in while in Canada (like poutine)! We stay one night in Calgary and will be in transit tomorrow to your original departure point.

Day 10: Return Home
Bid farewell to the beautiful scenery and wildlife we have experienced in the last week together. Along with amazing sights we hope you have had the chance to meet new friends on tour and create memories that will last a lifetime.
