DAY 1: FLIGHT INTO ANCHORAGE, ALASKA

The Alaska Discovery Tour begins! Travel to Anchorage, Alaska by airplane and check into lodging. Enjoy an included dinner and have a relaxing night. Prepare to head north tomorrow to Denali National Park!

DAY 2: ANCHORAGE TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK BY TRAIN

Travel on the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali National Park. Along the way, take in views of the tallest peak in North America—Denali. Continue onto McKinley Park, Alaska, the gateway to Denali National Park. Finish the evening at the famous Cabin Nite Dinner Theater. Enjoy a delicious family style meal, fit for an Alaskan Sourdough, accompanied by a show. Check into lodging for the next two nights.

DAY 3: DENALI NATIONAL PARK

Today, wake early to discover Denali National Park via the Tundra Wilderness Tour. This tour provides the best chance of seeing wildlife while in Alaska. Tours are led by certified park guides who will point out animals like grizzly bears, Dall sheep, moose, caribou, wolves, lynx, and more! For the afternoon enjoy free time in ‘Glitter Gulch.’

DAY 4: DENALI TO ANCHORAGE

This morning, stop into Jeff King’s Husky Homestead to cuddle with a puppy and learn about the Iditarod and dog mushing, Alaska’s state sport. Travel southbound to Talkeetna the ‘Climbing Town of Alaska’ for free time for lunch and shopping in this picturesque town. Finish the day by driving to Anchorage.

DAY 5: SEWARD AND KENAI PENINSULA

Today, travel through the heart of the stunning Kenai Peninsula on your way to Seward. Along the route, enjoy spectacular mountain scenery, glacier-carved valleys, turquoise lakes, and opportunities to spot wildlife in one of Alaska's most picturesque regions. Upon arrival in Seward, enjoy free time to explore this charming waterfront community, browse local shops, stroll the scenic harbor, or simply take in the breathtaking views of Resurrection Bay.

DAY 6: SEWARD – CRUISE BEGINS

This afternoon, board the Celebrity Solstice for a 7-day sailing through Alaska’s Inside Passage which ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. There will be included activities for travelers at each port except in Ketchikan. Each traveler will receive a full itinerary of the included and additional excursions at the ports of call. During the cruise all meals are included, so eat until your heart is happy and belly full.

DAY 7: CRUISING HUBBARD GLACIER

Marvel at the breathtaking beauty of Hubbard Glacier as we cruise past towering ice walls and watch for calving icebergs and wildlife in this unforgettable glacial paradise. DAY 8: JUNEAU (Port of Call: 10am-9pm) – WHALE WATCHING

Today, spend time in Juneau, Alaska – the state capital of Alaska. Get up close to see the Mendenhall Glacier just outside of town. Following lunch, take an included whale-watching cruise, searching for humpback and orca whales. Finish the day off with some shopping or a cold one at the Red Dog Saloon.

DAY 9: SKAGWAY (Port of Call: 7am-7:30pm) – WHITE PASS RAIL RAILROAD

Land in the historic town of Skagway, AK and learn about its gold mining history. It was the gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush in 1898. For your main excursion today, travel by train on the White Pass Railroad, which showcases some beautiful Alaskan scenery.

Today, arrive at the remote wilderness destination of Icy Strait Point, one of Alaska’s most authentic cruise ports. Enjoy the small, Southeast Alaska, fishing town of Ketchikan, AK, known as the Salmon Capital of the world! Get to know the town and the culture of the native Tlingit people who are known for the construction of totem poles. Arrive into the final cruise destination and port of disembarkation in the morning. After spending some time in Vancouver, BC, travel by motor coach to Seattle, WA. For the night, check out the space needle or choose to relax by heading back to the hotel to prepare for the return trip home tomorrow.
