  • Absolutely! While most of our travelers fly from Minneapolis–St. Paul (MSP), we can often arrange departures from other major airports across the country.

Just let us know your preferred airport when you register, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Additional costs may apply depending on the routing and availability, but we always work to find the best and most convenient options for you.

  • Nope! Bluebird Guided Tours takes care of your round-trip flights as part of your travel package. We handle all flight arrangements for you, so you don’t have to worry about researching airlines, coordinating schedules, or booking tickets.

Once you register for a tour, we’ll take care of the details and send your flight information well in advance of your departure date.

  • If your tour travels outside of the United States, a valid passport book is required and must remain valid for at least six months beyond the end of your tour.

For tours that cross the border by land or sea, an Enhanced Driver’s License is generally acceptable; however, we strongly recommend traveling with a passport book whenever possible. In the event of a travel delay, medical emergency, or the need to return home by air, only a passport book will allow re-entry to the United States by flight.

  • A Tour Director is a professional guide who travels with your group throughout the entire trip. They handle all the logistics—like hotel check-ins, transportation coordination, activity scheduling, and more—so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

At Bluebird Guided Tours, our Tour Directors are experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. They’re there to:

    • Ensure everything runs smoothly day to day

    • Answer your questions and provide local insights

    • Handle unexpected changes or challenges on the road

    • Create a welcoming and fun group environment

Our travelers often say their Tour Director was one of the highlights of the trip!

  • All travelers should be able to move through airports with their own luggage and handle carry-on bags on and off motorcoaches, airplanes, and in hotel rooms. Checked bags will be delivered to and from your hotel room for you. If you need mobility assistance, please plan to travel with a capable companion who can provide any necessary help throughout the journey. Bluebird does not provide personal attendant services.

  • Each traveler is allowed one main checked bag, one smaller carry-on bag, and one personal item. Your main checked bag will be tagged with a Bluebird Guided Tours Luggage Tag and will be tracked by the Tour Director. This main checked bag will travel in the luggage compartment of the motorcoach and be delivered to and from your hotel room by porters each night.

You may also bring a carry-on bag and personal item—such as a backpack or tote—to keep with you on the motorcoach each day. Space above your seat is limited, so please keep personal items to a manageable size.

If you choose to bring additional carry-on bags, they may be stored under the motorcoach; however, these items will remain the responsibility of the traveler and will not be handled or delivered by porters.
