The Southwestern Balloon Train Tour begins! Touch down in Albuquerque and meet your Tour Director at baggage claim. Settle into your hotel, then gather with fellow travelers for a festive welcome dinner that sets the stage for the days ahead!

Day 2: Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Rise before dawn for the unforgettable highlight of the trip: The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Feel the energy build as pilots and crews prepare their balloons in the pre-dawn light, then watch in awe as hundreds of colorful balloons lift off together into the desert sky. After the morning’s excitement, enjoy time to relax or explore more of the Fiesta Park’s events, from chainsaw carving to ballooning exhibits. Later, head to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for a deeper look at the region’s rich heritage.

Cross the Colorado-New Mexico border an astonishing 11 times as you traverse soaring trestles, deep canyons, and mountain passes—all while taking in sweeping views of untamed wilderness. After disembarking in Chama, travel by coach to the charming town of Durango for a three night stay.
